I write about housing, homelessness, and transportation in New Haven for the Yale Daily News. I covered local and state primaries in Connecticut this summer for the News; you can read my coverage here, here, and here.

Inspired by Robert Venturi and Tom Wolfe, I wrote a piece called Complexity and contradiction in Yale's campus architecture for the News' commencement special issue in May 2026. I am indebted greatly to Surry Schlabs, for teaching me to look critically at the built environment when I was just a naïve first-year in his seminar, and Pamela Newton, for sharing with me her love of reading and writing nonfiction.

This fall, I will be working on several enterprise stories on housing and transportation in New Haven in addition to reporting on breaking news. If you have a tip, please email me or the News.
